Rhinoplasty Surgery
Rhinoplasty surgery is considered to be one of the most popular surgeries practiced in India, to reduce or augment the nose, correct the shape of the nose, restoring the nose function, altering the nose nostrils, shaping and moving of nose cartilage, narrowing the width of the nose. Rhinoplasty Surgery Process

Open Rhinoplasty is a procedure where incisions are made inside the fleshy nostrils, exterior end of the nasal septum, and across the columella (the nasal septum separates the nasal cavity, dividing the two nostrils) or Close rhinoplasty, also referred to as endonasal rhinoplasty wherein incisions are made inside the nose.
Immediately after the surgery, you will experience mild to moderate pain. Swelling and bruising are evitable, but swelling may disappear within a few days, and the bruising will go away within a week or a couple of weeks. You will experience numbness.

Rhinoplasty Surgery Recovery Time
Once the surgery is completed, the splint should be worn for about the next seven days. However, the swelling will subsides in a few weeks. Regularly follow-up with the doctor is very important to monitor the recovery process. Your doctor will provide post-surgery instructions, which are required to follow promptly.
Most of our rhinoplasty patients can able to resume their work in two days or so, and a week to return for normal routine. However, doing exercises and vigorous physical activity should be avoided until 4 weeks, or upon instructions from the doctor.
Potential Post-Surgery Complications
Potential complications associated with rhinoplasty surgery include pain, which can be reduced with painkillers. Swelling can be minimized with splints and keeps your nose in the required position. Other risk factors include bleeding, numbness, and scarring. The wound can be infectious but can be treated with antibiotics.
